In fact, we're a non profit organisation trying to promote Welsh businesses with the concept of coworking. Professionals, graduates & new business start-ups in or seeking the creative & media sectors can rent a desk for a day, week, month or year for £10 per desk, per day. Being self-employed or needing space to work on a project doesn't have to mean you trudge from coffee shop to café just to get away from home (and talking to the Cat). The emphasis is on collaboration and building a community. Coworking isn't for everyone, but the benefits are priceless (well near enough; £10 per desk, per day) We know you need flexibility, so that's what you'll get; there are no contracts or tie-ins. Just turn up and sit down. Simple. Whether you're a member or just popping in for the day, if you book one of the 49 desks you get free parking, a pass that'll give you access to the building, the best freshly brewed Coffee in Cardiff, the day's newspapers and a very good choice of biscuits; and that's just the beginning! Wifi and use of any of the four meeting rooms are also included in the price of the desk, just book online, call or jot down on the planners outside the rooms when you need them. No hassle, no fuss. There are also breakout meeting spaces available, soft furnished work areas, free printing facilities, a well stocked stationary cupboard and a roof terrace complete with chairs, tables and garden flowers. We have a social area with games, TV's and a book-share (any excuse for taking a break) and full kitchen facilities including dishwasher, recycling bins, coffee machine, instant hot water, fridge, freezer, water cooler and even a kitchen sink! We also provide the cutlery & crockery! You can bring your own sarnies or microwave your meals; alternatively there is a restaurant on-site if the thought of a packed lunch gets you down. There's also a retail park just across the way with supermarkets & other shops. There are notice boards with Bus route information, you can put your card up and advertise your business to fellow coworkers and theres even a social board to find out whats going on... The one thing we WON'T DO is tell you what to do. There aren't any signs or restrictions. There's no dress-code (although clothes are preferable), if you smoke (that's fine by the way, we understand that people do) then you have access to the roof terrace. As well as all that other stuff, there's also the little things to consider. All around the office, you'll find works by local artists & photographers, aromatic candles to stimulate the creative juices, fresh flowers and best of all a vibrant, fun, professional working atmosphere.
